​The Can Ruines Collective was formed after a discussion between friends about the lack of opportunities for emerging artists (of all styles) to meet other artists and art lovers. To exhibit and engage in a dialogue about their works directly with their audience; and to do this with an atmosphere of openness, honesty and experimentation. After the initial call for submissions the exhibitions have become largely self organizing, producing 3 events in the first year and many more after.

           

         Now grown beyond the scale of its first home the festival lives on as Resonance Arts and Music Festival.
